CCleaner is one of the most powerful computer cleaners around; and best of all, it is free, multilingual, and completely customizable. This utility gives us the opportunity to delete all the useless and obsolete data that we may be keeping in our system. This program can optimize the system performance by analyzing and deleting any or all of the following items: temporary files, cookies, browsing history, addresses of recently visited websites, index.dat files, and other items from our Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera browsers.

With CCleaner we can also check and remove useless items from our applications, Internet add-ons, multimedia programs, utilities, Windows Explorer, and system itself. There are some advanced options (old prefetch data, user assist history, etc.), which can also be applied to the analyzing/cleaning process. It is also possible to scan and clean our Windows Registry, uninstall programs, manage our Windows startup, restore system to a previous point, change the user interface language, delete/keep cookies, include/exclude specific files, folders, and registry entries, and much more. In the version 2.2 we can take advantage of the right-clicking on any item to view contextual information, or, depending on the location of the selected item, open different shortcut options. Now, it is also possible to set the program's language to Estonian and Farsi.
